Building Incident – Work Now Completed

Read about our case study and find out how we achieve our results!

t’s been a funny old year!

Just before the start of the year staff arrived at work to find a car wedged into the wall of the offices. Even though a car crashing through the front doors of your building is not something you would expect to happen, of course we were prepared and had a plan of action on how to deal with such an incident.

“It’s so nice to finally have front doors again, you don’t realise how handy they are until you are without them and it’s nice to not have to stare at the shuttering anymore” – JCD’s technician – Charlie Spires

My initial reaction was Oh my days…. Well you don’t expect that when you come into work do you? I was gobsmacked at the extent of the damage and the fact no one was injured, thankfully it’s all back to normal now” – JCD’s technician – David Hogan

It took many months, but everything is now back to normal at the front of the building, including a shiny new sign.

One thing that has come out of this is things you think won’t ever happen, can happen and most certainly do happen!

In our business, providing service to our clients is our No.1 concern and we cannot have down time during the working week so having a disaster recovery plan on how to deal with critical incidents is of paramount importance.

These days there are not many businesses that can comfortably endure down time especially for prolonged periods and every business should have its own disaster recovery plan. Fortunately planning for disasters is something JCD have extensive knowledge of and we are able to put together business continuity plans and assist businesses with dealing with business-critical incidents.

If you would like us to assess your disaster recovery plan or work with you to create one, please get in touch.
